Kitchen Confidential…

21 Feb

Just finished Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I think was one of those books where because *everyone* had read it and loved it, I just wanted to be contrary and not. But. Now that I have? So glad I succumbed to the peer pressure and temptation to do so. His writing voice is utterly irreverent, hilarious, and completely schizophrenic in its organization. But, he holds your attention, makes his point succinctly, and you never, not once, stop laughing at his hijinks. And, from very limited experience (read: high school and college years spent working in restaurants) he is point on in his descriptions. Cannot wait to read “A Cook’s Tour” and see his captivating descriptiveness applied to food destination adventures the world over.
